Assistant/Associate or Professor of Clinical Pathology (Transfusion Medicine) (CHLA) at University of Southern California (USC) / Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and CHLA in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine are seeking a full-time Transfusion Medicine physician with research, clinical service, and teaching responsibilities. This is an Open Rank position with salary commensurate with qualifications, experience, and scholarly accomplishments. Responsibilities
Transfusion Medicine/Apheresis consults and procedures Blood bank and blood donor center physician coverage Therapeutic Apheresis Services (including stem cell harvests, extracorporeal photopheresis, plasma and red cell exchange) Collaborative research opportunities with the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology/Oncology and the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases Qualifications
MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree; CA medical license upon hire Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, translational research, and education American Board of Pathology certification/eligibility in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine or significant clinical experience in transfusion medicine Salary and Benefits
Annual base salary range for this position is $300,000 to $450,000. USC considers factors including scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, laws, grant funding, and external market. Strong administrative, clinical, research, and financial support will be provided, including staff, infrastructure, endowments, and institutional resources. About the Employers
