The Program Aide will be assigned to the Human Resources Department and will provide support for Labor Relations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule and track various interrogations and meetings including FELIX Meetings and Labor Management meetings Prepare meeting minutes for Labor Management meetings Prepare and Distribution of Notice of Disciplines Process and track Administrative Leaves Prepare FOIL requests and documentation requests from various parties Maintain Teams tracker; upload reports and case files on Teams tracker based on case priority Complete DHS (Discipline History Summary) Manage the Labor Relation Office general mailbox Field/Direct phone calls Performs additional duties as requested
Preferred Qualifications
Experience In Labor Relations Office Functions Ability to manage a large volume of work in a time sensitive environment Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Effective interpersonal and communication skills High degree of professionalism, strong work ethic and customer service focus
Minimum Qualifications
Open Competitive: Three years of experience performing clerical, keyboarding, or paraprofessional work in an office environment Competitive: Candidate must be reachable on the current Civil Service list for Program Aide TRANSFER: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive, non-competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades. This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). HELPS Program titles may be filled via a non-competitive appointment. This means that you do not need to take an exam to qualify, but you do need to meet the minimum qualifications of the title. At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), employees hired under NY HELPS are expected to have their permanent non-competitive employment status converted to permanent competitive status. You will not have to take an exam to gain permanent competitive status. Starting salary reflects the downstate adjustment. The posted hiring salary includes a base rate and downstate adjustment. All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
