About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President to lead its Enterprise Risk and Controls Readiness program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's audit activities with a strong focus on control effectiveness and remediation. This role requires close collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure audit excellence and a robust control environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program governance, management, and execution, including the maintenance of a comprehensive suite of audit policies and procedures. They should be adept at managing SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit engagements, maintaining a control library, and designing and implementing tests for internal controls. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, risk management, or finance, with a Master's or MBA preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in public accounting or internal audit, particularly in managing SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements, is required. The role demands a professional with a strong work ethic, resourceful disposition, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The candidate must be adaptable, entrepreneurial, and have a willingness to take a hands-on approach to their work. Essential skills include exceptional organizational, time management, and communication abilities, as well as proficiency in audit management software and a strong understanding of audit and control frameworks, operational risk assessment methodologies, and industry regulatory compliance requirements. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are mandatory.
