TRIUN3 is seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for TRIUN3’s clients. This role requires payroll expertise, strong attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Payroll Specialist will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and department leaders to maintain accurate employee records and deliver excellent service to staff. Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll for assigned client(s), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Review and verify timesheets, hours worked, pay adjustments, and deductions. Ensure accurate calculation and payment of wages, overtime, and special pay types. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to earnings or deductions. Maintain payroll records, employee data, and system configurations within the payroll software. Manage and reconcile payroll-related accounts, including benefits deductions, taxes, garnishments, and other payroll-related amounts. Respond to leadership and/or employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies with professionalism and confidentiality. Stay current on payroll best practices, employment laws, and tax regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices. Support year-end processes, including W-2 issuance and tax filings. Collaborate with HR and Finance to improve payroll processes as the organization grows while maintaining efficiency and data integrity. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions, and prepare other financial reports as requested. Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies or disputes in a timely and professional manner. Assist with preparation of requested documentation for annual audits. Administer and support expense reimbursement process through HRMS. Upload accurate payroll contribution files for benefits such as HSA, 403(b), and other flexible plans. Identify and recommend updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and processes. Provide reporting to leadership to assist in employee administration (e.g. PTO, Overtime, Actuals vs. Budget). Train supervisors on correct time entry and approval processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of payroll experience in a mid- to large-sized organization; experience processing 300+ employees strongly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax compliance, and reporting requirements. Proficiency in payroll systems, specifically Paylocity. High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong customer service skills with a desire to serve. Ability to communicate complex payroll/tax matters to employees in simple terms. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to support a scaling organization (e.g. acquisitions).
