Assistant Team Leader / Team Lead position at Sam's Club. Assists management with supervision of associates and supports member services, operations, and compliance with company policies. This role participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates, and collaborates with managers and other team members to meet business needs. What you'll do
Assist management with supervision of associates in assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and providing direction on member service approaches to resolve issues per company guidelines. Support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits; process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals; participate in sales and marketing events; maintain required documentation; strive to meet membership goals. Provide and ensure member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, guiding self-service technology, processing transactions at registers or self-checkout, and ensuring club pick-up orders are fulfilled. Oversee assigned area by handling claims/returns, organizing merchandise, identifying shrinkage, maintaining carts/flatbeds, assisting with item transport, and keeping parking lot clean. Complete accounting records and daily deposits, assist with financial analysis, investigate cash discrepancies, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information. Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners; analyze information, monitor progress, and address improvement opportunities. Demonstrate compliance with policies and ethics, explain and apply standards, use Open Door Policy, and assist management with addressing ethical and compliance issues. Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work, assessing customer needs and priorities, providing feedback and support, and modeling adaptability to change.
