Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 0800) Base pay range: $19.25/hr - $23.25/hr. Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly; respond to questions/concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply selling behaviors during every transaction and thank guests for shopping at GameStop; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately, including correct changes, bagging merchandise, providing receipts, and maintaining high guest service standards. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-in, and Pro Rewards programs. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide timely feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening/closing shifts; ensure associates understand policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule store associates following guidelines; monitor staffing to ensure excellent guest service at all times. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ship daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, restock shelves, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Balance and reconcile daily transactions; manage cash, closeout paperwork, and bank deposits according to guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and report discrepancies to the Store Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; label boxes with packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries per guidelines. Assist in maintaining store records; keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Open and close procedures as required. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Operate the POS system and perform basic mathematics and alphabetizing. Complete required paperwork and follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Execute financial tasks in accordance with policy. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Remain reliable and trustworthy; use good judgment. Able to work alone and stand/move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and reach heights as needed.
