Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions and concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply all selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and return transactions using the POS system accurately; handle payments, provide receipts, and maintain top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, including new title reservations, trade-in, and Pro Rewards programs. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies, procedures, practices and guidelines. Monitor associate performance, provide timely feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed to align with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; document written feedback in the designated HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure associates understand policies, inventory control, loss prevention practices, safety, financial protocol, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates to follow scheduling guidelines; supervise staffing to maintain excellent guest service. Approve payroll and manage paid time off; verify time worked and ensure accurate compensation. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure equipment is in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing or end of shift as appropriate and report concerns to the Store Manager. Support sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative and operational duties. Conduct inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and organize products to ensure representation and accessibility on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals; complete closeout paperwork and manage bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate discrepancies to leadership. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; identify and address hazardous situations and report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files; ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred; at least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills; provide genuine and individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal and written communication, with English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently and as part of a team. Meet performance expectations (attendance, appearance, safety, respectful workplace). Operate POS system; basic mathematic and organizational skills. Complete required paperwork properly; follow written or diagrammed instructions; execute financial tasks per company policy. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Remain reliable and trustworthy; able to work alone; stand/move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs; perform physical tasks as needed.
