Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions/concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items; apply all selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks and demonstrate commitment to guest service. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including providing correct changes, issuing receipts, and ensuring high-quality guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager as needed. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed, ensuring alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening or closing shifts; associates should know all job aspects, policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule store associates following guidelines, manage breaks/meals, supervise staffing to maintain excellent guest service. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and ensure accurate timekeeping. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandise presentation, and ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as appropriate; report concerns to the Store Manager. Support sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative and operational duties. Perform store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Balance daily transactions in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct merchandise counts, and report discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; address hazardous situations and report injuries per guidelines. Keep store records/files organized and up to date; ensure manuals are current. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures; follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork properly and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Handle financial tasks in accordance with company policy. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Remain reliable, trustworthy, and able to work under pressure; be a problem solver. Able to stand/walk up to 12 hours; lift up to 30 lbs; physical ability to perform job duties.
