Security Officers for the Indianapolis, IN area.
All shifts and days
are available. This position offers a starting pay of
$18.50/hr
with weekly pay. Benefits:
All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security. Requirements
Must have reliable transportation. One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions. Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance. Exceptional report writing skills. Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility. Able to work independently. Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form. Flex Officer Explanation
The Flex Officer position is crucial to the company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to customers while protecting the health and work balance of personnel. Scheduling Expectations
The Scheduling Parameters and Expectations for a Flex Officer differ from those of a fixed post employee. As a Flex Officer you will: Be trained at various posts and facilities based on operational need. May work at a specific post for several weeks due to need; not a permanent assignment. Have a schedule that varies based on operational need. Be assigned to shifts as they become available due to staffing needs. Be scheduled in advance or called with short notice to cover shifts. Work any scheduled shift within your described availability; communicate unavailability with your supervisor. For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of shifts could affect employment status. A Security Officer may perform duties per Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The officer will read and know Post Orders and SOP and act quickly and efficiently according to directives. Education Requirements (All)
