Join Alvarez & Marsal as a Senior Associate to support digital forensics and forensic technology services, applying best‑in‑class practices to uncover, preserve, and analyze evidence in complex legal and regulatory situations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team through the full forensic data lifecycle, including identification, recovery, preparation, analysis, and preservation of digital data.
Manage all aspects of onsite data collection and maintain chain of custody protocols.
Perform data extraction, conversion, and migration to review environments.
Analyze artifacts to trace user activity (file manipulation, USB activity, browser history, chat, cloud, cryptocurrency, etc.).
Plan, schedule, and execute onsite data and evidence collection activities.
Build stakeholder relationships and present findings clearly to clients and internal teams.
Prepare and deliver forensic data analysis reports to clients and counsel.
Qualifications
Minimum 3‑6 years’ experience in digital forensics in a client‑facing professional services setting.
Extensive experience scoping and performing onsite and remote forensic preservations of various data sources (endpoint, mobile, cloud, social media).
Proficiency with forensic tool suites: OpenText EnCase, Cellebrite UFED, Physical Analyzer, Endpoint Inspector, Magnet Forensics Axiom.
Experience performing forensic analysis and preparing client‑ready work product.
Strong understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and forensic collection/analysis best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
BS, BBA, or BA in a technical/analytical field (e.g., computer science, information systems, engineering).
Flexibility to travel 20‑40% of the time.
Certifications such as GFCE, EnCE, CISSP, or other relevant credentials are preferred.
Quantitative skills (SAS, Stata, Python, R, Power BI, SQL) are a plus.
