Accounts Receivable Specialist (Medical Industry) We are seeking an Accounts Receivable & Medicaid Billing Coordinator with at least 1 year of experience in the medical/healthcare industry in billing/accounting/AR/AP, a sharp eye for detail, and a strong work ethic.

Details:

Location: Mendota Heights, MN (in office)

Pay: $28-$30/hr (approx. $58K-$62K annually) plus full benefits package

Hours: Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4:30 pm

Duration: long‑term position

Responsibilities

Process and bill Medicaid, private payer, and patient claims in line with payer requirements and company policies.

Accurately enter payables into the accounting system and prepare Medicaid/private payer remittances for data entry.

Maintain accurate billing and accounts receivable records, reports, and analysis for Medicaid and private pay.

Monitor accounts receivable, resubmit bills as needed, and escalation overdue accounts.

Assist with monthly billing and AR reporting.

Partner with patients, payers, and facilities to maintain positive working relationships.

Provide timely reporting and updates to accounting management.

Qualifications

1+ years of healthcare/medical billing or coding experience (Medicaid/hospice billing strongly preferred).

Full cycle revenue billing experience is highly desirable.

High school diploma or GED required; AS/AA/BA in Accounting or related field preferred.

Strong work ethic, professionalism, and reliability.

Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
