Fenwick seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to support growth and market positioning of our late‑stage private and public company practices. The role focuses on strengthening visibility and integration of Capital Markets, M&A, Litigation, and Regulatory practices within Fenwick’s full‑service platform. Job Description
Support practice group leaders in developing and implementing business‑development plans, budgets, and strategic initiatives. Facilitate cross‑marketing opportunities and execute partnership strategies. Assist partners in key practices with target identification, pursuit strategies, and monitoring of business‑development activities. Generate and implement new tactics to improve the BD department’s services and firm‑wide BD efforts. Ensure sales materials, pitches, and proposals highlight firm attributes and key practices. Develop strategies and content for targeted events, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and thought leadership. Collaborate with Recruiting and Practice Development teams on lateral integration plans and client onboarding. Develop and maintain metrics that measure BD behavior, improve efficiency, and demonstrate value. Mentor BD team members, support professional development, and promote a positive work environment. Desired Skills and Qualifications
Exemplary communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal and technical information. Strong desire to learn about law firm BD best practices, legal practices, business practices, and client industries. Affinity for technology and its application to client services. Strong problem‑solving skills and proactive solution execution. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage attorney expectations. Customer‑service ethic with excellent interpersonal skills. Highly organized, efficient, and detail‑oriented; strong proofreading and fact‑checking. Advanced data collection, reporting, and CRM skills. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office suite. Ability to work independently under pressure; self‑motivated and initiative‑driven. Reporting & Qualifications
The role reports to the Director of Business Development. Candidates should have 10+ years of legal or professional services business development experience, prior team‑management experience, and strong knowledge of public company litigation and cross‑sell BD strategies. Bachelor's degree required; M.B.A. or J.D. preferred. Benefits and Compensation Details

$153,000 – $228,750 . A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
