With a rail spur available, large quantities of raw materials can be efficiently transported in, and finished goods can be shipped across the continental United States. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and bilingual (English/Spanish) Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This position supports daily HR operations across multiple job sites, with a strong focus on recruiting, employee relations, and compliance. The HR Generalist partners closely with the Safety Manager and operational leadership to promote a positive, safe, and compliant workplace culture. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment while balancing administrative and field HR responsibilities.
Recruitment and Onboarding
Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
Conduct pre‑employment screenings and background checks.
Facilitate new hire orientations and ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
Employee Relations and Compliance
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct employee relations investigations and assist with corrective action plans.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Partner with the Safety Manager to support training, audits, and workplace safety initiatives.
Communicate and administer HR policies consistently across departments.
HR Operations and Administration
Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management processes.
Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and related documentation.
Assist with payroll processing and HRIS data entry (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and key metrics for leadership.
Participate in employee engagement, recognition, and retention programs.
Support company-wide HR and Safety projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance reviews.
Field and Site Support
Travel occasionally to job sites to support onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement.
Conduct HR documentation audits and assist with field-based training.
Build strong working relationships with supervisors and employees to foster communication, trust, and accountability.
What You Bring
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish – required.
Thorough understanding of employment law, FMLA, OSHA, and general HR compliance.
Strong background in recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations.
Proven ability to partner with Safety to ensure compliance and promote a proactive safety culture.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now experience preferred).
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in human resources, including recruiting.
Experience supporting multi‑site operations in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
Preferred:
SHRM‑CP or PHR certification.
