The Kelley Undergraduate Program is comprised of a community of business and education leaders, serving over 10,000 undergraduate students. The Brian D. Jellison Living Learning Center (JLLC), formerly the Kelley Living Learning Center, serves as the only LLC for Kelley School of Business track first‑year students at IU. The JLLC is part of the Student Communities division in the academic unit of the Kelley Undergraduate Program. Kelley is proud to be ranked in the top 8 of all undergraduate business programs by U.S. News and World Report (2023).

Department‑Specific Responsibilities
Provides logistical, administrative, and program support for the 500+ community members for the residential JLLC at McNutt Residence Hall.
Supports 5 full‑time and 15+ part‑time hourly and Graduate Assistant team members.
Coordinates events with corporate partners and Kelley faculty, supports BUS‑X180 instructors, greets current and prospective students and their families, and serves as the first line of welcome to the JLLC.
Provides a fair and safe space for staff to work and students to thrive.
Assists with administrative needs related to the daily operations, planning, and implementation of student life initiatives. Performs duties such as attending a front desk, answering phones and email, and delivering messages and mail.
Serves as a liaison to campus partners for cross‑departmental student life initiatives, providing information, securing space reservations, scheduling planning meetings, and providing necessary documentation.
Provides assistance to student participants, stakeholders, faculty, and/or staff; acts as a resource by analyzing information, providing documentation, and preparing reports.
Provides directions, support, and information to student organization representatives and other visitors to the department.
Assists with daily scheduling, training, and gathering of student feedback. May prepare and disseminate handouts, presentations, or other materials.
May assist with ordering or creation of promotional materials for student organizations.
May provide guidance to other Student Life Coordinators.
General Responsibilities
Develops and implements programs and initiatives geared at improving student engagement and involvement outcomes at the program, department/division, or campus level.
Interfaces directly with students, attending student life events and programs and gathering satisfaction feedback from student participants to implement into future student life initiatives and objectives.
Collaborates with staff in own department and other departments, as well as student organization leaders, on shared student life goals, often coordinating funding to sponsor student life initiatives.
Measures and evaluates effectiveness of student life initiatives against projected outcomes; prepares reports and may present to stakeholders on effectiveness and to secure funding for initiatives moving forward.
Provides guidance to student organizations regarding operations, budget, leadership, activities, recruitment, registration, policies, and compliance. Promotes leadership and student development through advising of individual student leaders and volunteers. Contributes to formation, interpretation, and implementation of student organization policies.
Plans and coordinates communications for student life initiatives to ensure student participation and inclusion.
Education Required : Bachelor's degree in public affairs, public health, counseling, social work, education, business, or related field.
Preferred Education Some experience in student services, higher education, or related field.

Physical and Work Environment This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation. In addition to typical office work, the Coordinator will engage in medium moving requirements, including moving boxes of supplies for programs, 25‑50 pound boxes for orientation, facilitating food service, and setting furniture for special events. Hours of work will closely mirror the academic cycle with key consideration for important programs and events such as JLLC Accelerate, Direct Admit weekends, and community selection/assignment timeframes. Some lunch hours, evenings, and a rare occasional weekend will require support.
