As part of the Financial Services Organization (FSO), you’ll support clients in meeting their business objectives through high‑quality tax reporting and compliance services. This role focuses on customer tax operations, delivering tax information returns and supporting client engagements across banking, wealth, investment, and insurance sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver tax information reporting (1099/1042‑S/8804), FATCA/CRS reporting, and tax withholding certificate validation (Forms W‑8/9).
Reconcile withholding and reporting data for engagements with banks, wealth and asset management firms, and insurance companies.
Analyze bridged customer data and transaction information to identify potential errors and omissions, applying basic tax concepts to resolve issues.
Manage internal and external communications, including client authorizations, instructions, and billing for tax compliance services.
Assist engagement teams with reconciliation of customer demographic data, transaction data, and tax information returns.
Communicate with client tax liaisons, compliance teams, and stakeholders to gather required information and obtain necessary authorizations.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Timely, efficient, and accurate support of production of information reporting in a volume‑driven environment.
Ability to balance multiple projects and responsibilities across engagement teams.
Understanding of tax withholding certificates (Forms W‑8/W‑9) and FATCA/CRS Self‑Certification forms.
Knowledge of vendor and client systems that support tax operations functions.
Proficiency in basic software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and proprietary client collaboration tools.
Strong communication skills to manage client and internal communications.
Experience supporting billing and collections for tax compliance services.
Attention to detail and ability to resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
1–2 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of 1099/1042‑S reporting systems.
Understanding of tax compliance and information reporting rules.
Ability to work independently and within a team on complex projects.
Strong organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication.
Commitment to periodic travel (5–10%).
Ideal Qualifications
Experience in a professional services environment.
Proven record in information reporting and withholding tax laws.
Experience with tax withholding validation and certification.
Experience with FATCA/CRS reporting templates.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with trust tax software.
