MCAH Division Analyst – Associate Governmental Program Analyst
Monthly salary: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of an alternate range when applicable.
Under the direction of the CEA Range B and the Division Director of the Maternal, Child, and Adolescent (MCAH) Division, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs complex consultative and analytical work in support of the Division Director and Assistant Division Director. The AGPA assists in standardizing the Division’s business practices, uses analytical techniques to identify and recommend solutions to governmental issues, and provides administrative, logistical, and analytical services. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating travel arrangements, researching and preparing briefing materials, communicating effectively with the Center for Family Health, the CDPH Director’s Office, state and federal agencies, community partners, and the public. The position requires a high degree of initiative, independence, tact, and discretion, and demands excellence in customer service, open communication, courtesy, and responsiveness.
This position may be eligible for telework. Candidates must maintain California residency prior to appointment and continue to do so for employment. Failure to meet residency requirements may result in rescission of the offer.
Travel may be required; travel costs will be reimbursed according to regulations and contract provisions. The designated headquarters office for this position is described in the attached duty statement.
