California Department of Social Services – Child Care and Development Division (CCDD) Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager in the Human Resources Unit (HRU) under the Child Care Administration Bureau (CCAB), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst performs a wide variety of complex analytical and consultative support functions in personnel, training and facilities coordination for the Child Care and Development Division (CCDD) and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). The analyst provides data‑driven evidence to inform the development, implementation, and oversight of child‑care and development programs and services. They support the planning, policy direction, and oversight of state‑supported child‑care and development initiatives, including state‑subsidized child‑care services, quality improvement plan activities, local child‑care and developmental planning councils, and child‑care resource and referral programs. The analyst works collaboratively with county teams, contractors, child‑care partners, and CDSS stakeholders to support equitable, comprehensive, quality, and affordable child‑care and development system throughout the state.
