This role is responsible for developing the event and content strategies that support line of business goals, working with Events Segment Executives, line of business leaders, Communications and Marketing teams to develop strategic objectives, budgets, and execution plans. The Events Manager coordinates end‑to‑end planning, management, and execution of events, including producing detailed budgets, sourcing equipment, creating invitations, developing agendas, managing attendees, planning logistics, reporting pre‑ and post‑event data, processing invoices, and reconciling events. The position requires travel to events, leading cross‑functional onsite teams and vendors.
Responsibilities
Lead planning and coordination of complex client and internal events, both in-person and virtual.
Partner with Event Segment Executives, line of business leaders, Communications, Marketing and Academy partners to recommend event and content strategy that achieves business goals.
Develop strategic objectives, budgets and execution plans for each program and for the yearly line of business event portfolio.
Serve as an advisor and event management expert to senior management, proposing value‑add event activities and directions around marketing and communications initiatives.
Ensure events are planned within company guidelines and manage all risks associated with events, engaging Compliance, Legal, Risk, Corporate Security and Corporate Communication partners as needed.
Provide direction and input on overall event plans to vendor planners and cross‑functional teams.
Manage end‑to‑end event execution including budget creation, sourcing, invitation and agenda development, technology planning, attendee management, logistics planning, pre‑ and post‑event reporting, invoice processing and event reconciliation.
Coordinate complex events, both in person and virtual, providing on‑site support for logistics, attendees and risk management.
Required Qualifications
10‑15 years of large‑scale / complex conference and event production experience.
Extensive knowledge of event planning processes including contracting, logistics, onsite execution, budget management and reconciliation.
Stakeholder management experience leading cross‑functional teams with external partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication, executive presence and strategic influencing skills.
Strong financial management experience with multi‑million dollar budgets.
Ability to balance strategic direction with detail orientation.
Travel 20‑30% of time.
