Position ID 5241 (C00385) with City and County of San Francisco.
Job Description
Under general direction performs professional engineering work in field and office; supervises engineering personnel including consultants.
Supervises professional engineering staff, assigns and reviews work, selects, trains and counsels staff.
Analyzes workloads and budgets, reviews bid documents, negotiates contract modifications, resolves claims and disputes.
Supervises and monitors inspection of complex engineering projects and organizes field inspection staff.
Advises on water/wastewater treatment goals, directs scientific research related to water and wastewater.
Prepares and reviews engineering designs, drawings, specifications; performs complex calculations.
Reviews federal, regional, local regulations affecting engineering work.
Analyzes and solves complex engineering process problems; writes and approves departmental correspondence.
May act as project engineer or resident engineer for complex projects.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Five (5) years of verifiable professional Civil Engineering experience, including two (2) years equivalent to class 5207 Associate Engineer or higher.
Current Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in California Civil Engineering.
