Leon Capital Group is expanding its Capital Formation team to include a seasoned
Managing Director, Financial Services , who will play a pivotal role in deepening relationships within the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Family Office ecosystem, raising capital across LCG’s strategies, and strengthening LCG’s distribution effectiveness across wealth management channels.
Position Overview
The
Managing Director, Financial Services
will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and maintaining strategic relationships with RIAs, Multi‑Family Offices, and Wealth Management platforms across the U.S. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted representative of LCG, articulating the firm’s differentiated investment philosophy and vehicle structure across real estate, private credit, and private equity opportunities.
This individual will possess a strong network within wealth management channels and a proven track record of raising capital for alternative investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively originate new relationships with RIAs, Family Offices, Independent Broker‑Dealers, and Aggregators.
Build and execute a systematic relationship coverage strategy, segmenting prospects by AUM, geography, and investment preferences.
Cultivate deep, long‑term partnerships with senior decision makers, including CIOs, portfolio managers, investment committees, and platform due diligence teams.
Represent Leon Capital Group’s investment platform at industry conferences, networking events, and investor roadshows.
Drive commitments from wealth management channels into LCG’s alternative investment vehicles (real estate, private credit, private equity, and bespoke co‑investments).
Collaborate with internal product, operations, and legal teams to align offering structures with wealth management channel needs (e.g., subscription lines, feeder structures, tax optimization).
Track and analyze pipeline performance, investor feedback, and competitive positioning.
Strategic Collaboration:
Partner closely with the Managing Director, Capital Formation, and senior leadership to refine distribution strategy and wealth management channel engagement priorities.
Provide market intelligence on wealth management platform trends, M&A activity, and emerging allocator preferences.
Contribute to the design and enhancement of marketing collateral, investor presentations, and thought leadership content tailored to the wealth management channel.
Qualifications & Experience:
10–15+ years of relevant experience within capital raising, distribution, or business development for alternative investment managers or multi‑asset platforms.
Deep network and established credibility within the RIA, Family Office, and Independent Wealth Management ecosystem.
Demonstrated success in raising capital directly (not tangentially) from RIAs or high‑net‑worth intermediaries.
Familiarity with private equity, real estate, private credit, and related investment structures (Reg D, 506(c), feeder funds, interval funds, etc.).
Strong understanding of RIA aggregator platforms (e.g., Focus Financial, Dynasty, Mercer, Hightower) and distribution partners (e.g., CAIS, iCapital, Altigo).
Ability to articulate complex investments clearly to sophisticated investors.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or FINRA licenses (Series 7, 63, 65, or 82) strongly preferred.
