The USF School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS), within the Morsani College of Medicine, is the home to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program, a post‑professional Orthopedic Physical Therapy clinical residency, and the Athletic Training Program. Each entering class of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training students engages in a cutting‑edge, inter‑professional curriculum delivered by a dynamic faculty from various healthcare disciplines.
Position Summary: Under direction of the Manager, Educational and Student Affairs (ESA) for the School, the Student Programs Coordinator is responsible for the administration of a specific academic program, project, service, or function to include academic program planning, implementation, and evaluation. This job performs administrative functions directly related to academic instruction. This position is important to support the academic endeavors of our programs.
This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
Responsibilities Front Desk Management
Coordinate and provide SPTRS front desk coverage.
Create processes and procedures related to the front desk/reception area.
Academic
Assist with program practical assessments (eg. longitudinal integrative assessments and other clinical/practical exams).
Written exam proctoring support
Provide administrative support to School Patterns of Administration committee (eg. Handbooks, procedures, guidelines).
Provide administrative support to Academic Performance Review Committees for academic programs within the School.
Coordinate licensure requirements for SPTRS graduates and alumni
Coordinate scheduling for academic programs (eg. Classes, events)
Coordinate program and School events (eg. Orientation, wrap‑up week, ceremonies, social events) with the ESA Manager and Program Directors.
Provide administrative support to other School committees and work‑groups as needed. for various department committees in coordination with ESA team (i.e. selection, curriculum, APRC, etc.).
Accreditation
Provide administrative support to Program Directors with accreditation tasks.
Other
Attend School meetings and provide administrative support (eg. Prepare agenda, take minutes)
Attend and provide administrative support for other School, College, and University committees as needed/appointed.
Serve as a liaison to other departments as assigned.
Assigned tasks may include but are not limited to drafting letters/documents, sending items via DocuSign, preparing agendas/minutes, preparing data, reviewing documents.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, with at least one year of related experience.
