As a Medior Accountant at Ciner Glass Belgium, you will play a crucial role within the regional finance team, as well as a part of the international group. In this role, you will be involved with both accounting and management reporting processes. Additionally, this position plays a key role in fostering a data‑driven culture, standardising monthly reporting and focusing on actionable insights. Responsibilities & Key Tasks Financial Management and Reporting

Establishing and supporting an effective control system to safeguard financial information and operational data.

Developing and assisting with budgeting and management reporting processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, variance analyses and business plans, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Accounting and Month‑end Closing

Support the implementation of relevant accounting policies, processes and controls.

Enter financial information into relevant ledgers, accounting and treasury systems.

Ensure the integrity of financial data by accurate and timely entry and processing of transactions.

Perform regular accounting reconciliations, including accounts receivable/payable, intercompany, bank and credit card reconciliations. Identify and resolve discrepancies.

Participate in month‑end closing processes, including manual journal entries, accruals, etc.

Execute and record payments.

Bank Reconciliations

Regularly perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.

Reporting & Controlling

Provide management information related to payments and invoices.

Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.

Support the finance department with ad‑hoc tasks and projects.

Provide daily support by monitoring company cash flows and preparing and maintaining short‑term cash flow reports.

Assist during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditors’ questions in collaboration with the department head.

Actively keep up to date with developments in the financial field and regulatory changes.

Qualifications, Competences & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).

Knowledge of local VAT and corporate tax regulations.

Understanding of accounting and treasury principles and practices, with familiarity in bank reconciliations and invoice management.

Knowledge of month‑end closing processes and familiarity with audit procedures and requirements.

Experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), BI tools such as Power BI and other production‑related software is a plus.

Hands‑on mentality to address challenges quickly and efficiently.

Effective in building relationships with diverse stakeholders and clients.

Strong communication skills (spoken and written in Dutch and English), time management, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to adapt well to change; the location is in a start‑up phase and continuously evolving.

Ability to work under strict deadlines while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
