for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in
Berkeley, MO .
Pay Range: $55 - 85/hr depending on experience Contract: 6 months with possible extension and/or conversion 100% onsite in Berkeley, MO
Job Description:
The team is seeking an Electrical Component, Assembly, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Engineer (Senior Level).
Apply engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic and electro‑mechanical components in evaluation new components for assembly and subassembly design.
Directly support Sub‑contractors and Suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for usage per the contract and the Parts Management Plan.
Conduct obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using Component Monitoring and Surveillance Tools, Predictive Obsolescence Systems, OEM/Supplier surveys, etc.
Develop obsolescence mitigation resolution options and business case analyses supporting the recommendations.
Assist programs in identifying and managing obsolescence risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering
Security clearance is required to start
Experience with one or more of the following: Obsolescence Management, DMS, Parts Management, managing Bills of Material (BOMs), researching alternate components.
Someone who worked in an Obsolescence Management / DMSMS / Component Engineering position where this was a key element of their primary responsibilities for 5 or more years.
