Senior Accountant – Defense Manufacturing
A growing defense manufacturer seeks a hands‑on Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The company provides mission‑critical equipment and technology solutions to the DOD and other federal agencies. With projected 25% revenue growth next year, this role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and chances to expand into FP&A. Key Responsibilities
Manage full‑cycle accounting across AP, AR, billing, general ledger, and reconciliations Prepare journal entries, accruals, month‑end and year‑end close, and account reconciliations Review project status and cost reports; manage bank and credit card reconciliations Support audit and tax schedules Assist in process improvements, internal controls, and financial reporting enhancements Opportunity to take on FP&A responsibilities over time Ideal Background
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience GovCon experience required Strong understanding of GAAP and full‑cycle accounting Experience with job‑cost or project‑based ERP systems (JAMIS preferred) Growth‑oriented mindset with the desire to advance into an Accounting Manager role Salary: $80,000 / yr – $95,000 / yr (base pay).
