Our client, an established defense manufacturer
is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant
to join its tight-knit finance team. The company provides mission-critical equipment and technology solutions
to the DOD and other federal agencies — supporting operations across a range of tactical and remote environments.
With projected 25% revenue growth in the coming year , this is an exciting opportunity to join a stable, growing organization where you’ll have direct exposure to senior leadership and the chance to expand into FP&A as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting across AP, AR, billing, general ledger, and reconciliations
Prepare journal entries, accruals, month-end and year-end close, and account reconciliations
Review project status and cost reports; manage bank and credit card reconciliations
Support audit and tax schedules
Assist in process improvements, internal controls, and financial reporting enhancements
Opportunity to take on FP&A responsibilities over time
Ideal Background
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
GovCon experience required
Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
Experience with job-cost or project-based ERP systems (JAMIS experience preferred)
Growth-oriented mindset with the desire to advance into an Accounting Manager
role
