MSP System Administrator, Support, Project Engineer – IL Leapfrog Technology, Inc.

Job Overview We are looking for an energetic engineer with excellent communication and customer‑service skills to support our Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. The role focuses on escalated support, project work, and on‑site solutions throughout Chicagoland.

Key Responsibilities Resolve escalated support issues (Level II/III) and serve as the triage escalation point. Manage projects, run daily team meetings, and prioritize service requests. Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and maintain high‑quality service standards. Recommend best‑practice solutions on‑site and observe client needs.

Qualifications Experience working for an MSP or managing a full environment independently. Proficiency with Windows, Windows Server, Azure, AWS, Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, and Citrix. Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and patching skills. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize service requests.

Desired Technical Skills In‑depth knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, AVD, Defender, Terminal Server, and networking. Experience with firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall) and remote‑access technologies.

Desired Soft Skills Excellent written and verbal communication. Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal guidance. Time‑management skills and a drive to stay current with technology.
