Entry-Level Structural Design Engineer
to join our Brooklyn, NY team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate eager to begin their career in structural design and work on diverse, high-impact building projects.
Job Summary As an
Entry-Level Structural Design Engineer , you will play a key role in the design and analysis of new buildings, working under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design superstructures and foundations in various materials such as concrete, steel, timber, and masonry. The role involves leveraging modern design tools and BIM technologies to create efficient, safe, and code‑compliant structures that align with architectural and client requirements. This position is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to the success of a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural design and analysis for new building projects using industry-standard codes and practices.
Design and model superstructures and foundations across a range of materials (steel, concrete, timber, and masonry).
Utilize digital design and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other analysis software to create accurate drawings and models.
Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, design reports, and construction documents.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure design intent and constructability.
Conduct technical research and assist in evaluating new materials, construction techniques, and digital tools.
Support project teams in meeting deadlines, design goals, and client expectations.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
0-1 year of post-graduation experience in structural or civil engineering (internship or co‑op experience accepted).
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and analytical principles.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and eager to learn in a fast-paced professional environment.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Preferred
Recent graduate or May 2025 graduate from a Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering program.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
Exposure to or coursework using structural design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, or equivalent tools.
Familiarity with building codes, material specifications, and construction documentation.
