Base pay range:

The Assistant Teacher shares responsibility for the overall health and safety of the children in the program. They work as a member of the classroom team to form trusting relationships with the children and support general classroom functions. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED 9 credit hours of early childhood college coursework, including 3 hours of child growth and development Willingness to pursue a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) Physical Requirements: Kneel to address children at eye level Demonstrate motor activities such as running, hopping, jumping, dancing, and full body motions Run after a child in peril Lift children in emergencies Nurture children who may need consoling for challenging behaviors Get on the ground to help children crawl to safety during fire May experience kicks or hits during exuberant play Nice to Haves: Teamwork Energy & enthusiasm Sense of humor Benefits: Competitive hourly rate Health, dental & vision insurance plans 403(b) retirement program with 10% employer contribution after one year Paid vacation, sick leave, all major holidays Agency Employee Assistance Program Staff wellness program Limited childcare spots for teacher's children may be available Seniority level:
