Habitability Attorney – National Law Firm (Costa Mesa, CA) Key Information

Associate Attorney responsible for handling landlord‑tenant habitability matters on both the landlord and tenant side.

Position is located in Costa Mesa, CA and is a full‑time, permanent role.

Base Pay Range $130,000.00/yr – $170,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Represent landlords and tenants in habitability disputes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct thorough research and analysis of pertinent case law, statutes, legal articles, codes, and other relevant materials.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of legal documents, including leases, eviction notices, and settlement agreements.

Provide sound legal advice to clients, helping them understand complex legal concepts and ensuring they are fully aware of their rights and obligations.

Develop and implement effective legal strategies to resolve habitability disputes in the most favorable manner for our clients.

Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure the delivery of high‑quality legal services.

Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends that could impact our clients' rights and interests.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the state bar.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, with a strong focus on landlord‑tenant law and habitability issues.

Proven experience as an Associate Attorney with a track record of successfully representing clients in habitability disputes.

Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.

Solid understanding of intellectual property law and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.

Excellent negotiation skills and a knack for resolving disputes in a manner that serves clients' best interests.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Ability to handle a high‑volume caseload and work under pressure.
