About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Senior Accountant or Plant Accountant ready to grow into a leadership position? This opportunity offers the perfect mix of hands‑on accounting and strategic business partnership within a stable, growing manufacturing organization. You’ll work closely with operations, supply chain, and senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting, meaningful analysis, and data‑driven decision‑making.
This is a high‑visibility role that provides clear advancement toward an Assistant Controller or Controller position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation processes, ensuring accuracy and insightful analysis of production costs and margins
Perform variance analysis and review BOMs and COGS to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Partner with operations and leadership to strengthen cost control and overall business performance
Prepare management dashboards, KPIs, and forecasts to support decision‑making and continuous improvement
Support audit preparation, internal controls, and enhancements to accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus)
Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or distribution
Solid understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and variance analysis
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas) and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
