Human Resources Generalist
Mariani Landscape is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across all aspects of HR to support employees and managers.
Responsibilities
Administer day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of all required documentation.
Maintain HRIS systems (Workday) and ensure accurate data entry for payroll and employment tracking.
Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation, investigations, and follow-up.
Coordinate performance review cycles and assist managers with goal setting and feedback processes.
Support training and development initiatives by scheduling sessions and tracking participation.
Help organize employee engagement activities and culture-building events.
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Generate HR reports and metrics such as turnover, headcount, and training completion.
Participate in HR projects aimed at improving processes and employee experience.
Juggle multiple HR tasks and prioritize effectively.
Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
Proficient in HRIS systems (Workday experience a plus).
Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
