Bookkeeping and Staff Accountant Role

Seeking a detail-oriented financial professional to manage and support comprehensive accounting functions for a dynamic organisation. This hybrid role encompasses day-to-day bookkeeping duties as well as staff accountant responsibilities, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled candidate with a solid accounting background.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily transaction entry and general ledger management.
Process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and ensure timely payment tracking.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card statements, resolving discrepancies proactively.
Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare documentation and assist during internal and external audits.
Collaborate across departments to streamline financial reporting and improve accounting processes.
Utilise accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Excel to manage financial data efficiently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2+ years of combined bookkeeping and accounting experience.
Proficiency with modern accounting systems and spreadsheet tools.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
