Job Summary Responsible for the safety and daily operations of Central Services across Universal Kids Resort (UKR). Contributes to routine and capital budgeting and sets direction and priorities for all central services functions and seasonal weather condition sustainment initiatives.
Manages and leads technical staff to include continuous improvement, personal development, and administration in the area of responsibility.
Facilitates hiring, training, and scheduling of hourly Team Members across Central Services. Plans and schedules all work and maintains efficient workflows to ensure completion of products and services.
Job Responsibilities
Manages central services functions in daily activities including ride maintenance, mechanical, welding, painting, fiberglass, hydraulics, creative fabrication, and figure finish.
Ensures maintenance servicing and repairs comply with regulations and Universal standards.
Oversees the Annual Ride Vehicle Cycle Program for UKR attractions in partnership with Ride & Show Maintenance.
Manages the discretionary and backorder work log for machine shop, weld shop, paint shop, hydraulic shop, and special projects.
Monitors labor and purchasing budgets while maintaining equipment and supply levels.
Administers training and development plans, schedules, attendance, and personnel records for direct reports.
Ensures safety compliance and adherence to Universal policies, maintaining a safe work environment.
Drives plans affecting Team Member satisfaction, Guest satisfaction, and safety standards, using performance tools to monitor targets.
Oversees capital and expense budgets, manages capital requests, and ensures financial responsibility.
Leads seasonal weather condition sustainment initiatives, coordinating documentation and deliverables.
Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities under UDX policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises a non‑exempt team.
Additional Information
Schedule flexibility required: availability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.
Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Consistent attendance is required.
Education
Technical school or Associate’s degree (AA) in General Studies, Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience
5+ years of experience in general shop work and tools with 1+ year of leadership experience required; experience in a seasonal or regional theme park is a plus.
