Responsibilities The Crime Analyst (CA) II is considered the technical expert and resource within the Cal-ID Program. The CA II searches, analyzes, compares, and resolves difficult, complex fingerprint and palm print transactions and errors through the use of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). The CA II must have a working knowledge of friction ridge examination, Department of Justice (DOJ) databases, and the criminal justice system in order to research and problem-solve production issues. Duties also include record review, Jane/John Doe, and Department of Motor Vehicles casework and courtroom testimony.

Additional Salary Information: This classification contains multiple salary ranges.
