Position Summary Our Finance team at Walmart is dedicated to becoming a world‑class finance organization, powered by top talent and cutting‑edge technology, to support customers and shareholders alike. In this role you will support the Consumables business—including Baby, Beauty, Personal Care, Pets, Household Essentials, and Wellness—by creating and actioning strategic initiatives across Merchandising.
Responsibilities
Serve as a financial thought partner, applying strong analytical and strategic skills to drive complex, cross‑functional business outcomes.
Build and interpret advanced financial models that incorporate key assumptions, risks, and opportunities; prepare executive‑ready presentations and communicate forecasts, insights, and variances clearly to senior leadership.
Lead planning and forecasting processes, analyze business performance, and recommend actions to optimize profitability and expense targets.
Develop actionable insights that solve business challenges, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic initiatives across functions.
Strengthen financial control structures to minimize risk, enhance transparency, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Drive continuous improvement by leveraging new technologies and modernizing financial processes.
Build strong cross‑functional partnerships to accelerate decision‑making, align on key priorities, and ensure clarity in financial results and recommendations.
Qualifications
Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
Excellent leadership skills with high emotional intelligence.
Ability to manage interconnectivities of business units and drive results.
Diplomacy and ability to align stakeholders with competing priorities.
Capability to make complex subjects easily understood through storytelling and visuals.
High standards and accountability for collective success.
Experience in managing large‑scale challenges at Fortune 1 companies.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 4 years’ experience, or 6 years’ experience in the same areas.
3+ years’ experience in Analytics, Planning, Business Management, or Omni‑Channel Merchandising.
1+ years’ experience leading cross‑functional projects.
1+ years of senior leadership decision support and influencing experience.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Detail and results‑oriented with a sense of urgency.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area, or 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
1 year’s experience leading and completing cross‑functional projects.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
