We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented
Payroll Specialist
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws. This position requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and a solid understanding of payroll systems and procedures.
Base Pay Range $50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll for all employees
Review and verify timecards, deductions, and earnings for accuracy
Maintain employee payroll records, tax withholdings, and direct deposit information
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and accounting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end forms (W‑2s, 1099s, etc.)
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on employee changes and benefit deductions
Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of payroll processing experience required
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee information
