Senior Staffing Manager – Maintenance Manager
Position Summary:
The
Maintenance Manager
oversees all plant maintenance and engineering activities, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This individual provides both strategic and hands‑on leadership for maintenance operations, preventive maintenance programs, and capital improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the maintenance and engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all production and facility equipment.
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs utilizing
CMMS
to track work orders, equipment performance, and downtime.
Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize
PLC‑ and HMI‑controlled systems , including automation and process equipment.
Maintain and repair
mechanical systems
such as
conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, valves , and other production machinery.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Partner with production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
Manage capital projects, including new equipment installations and process upgrades.
Develop and monitor department budgets, maintenance KPIs, and inventory levels for spare parts and critical equipment.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with
safety, environmental, and regulatory
requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred; equivalent technical experience accepted.
8+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proven experience with
PLC and HMI troubleshooting/programming
(Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems).
Strong background in
mechanical systems , including
conveyors, hydraulics, pumps, and valves .
Experience implementing and managing
CMMS
systems.
Knowledge of
preventive and predictive maintenance ,
root cause analysis , and
continuous improvement .
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a dynamic, fast‑paced production environment.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with
sanitary design ,
equipment cleaning procedures , or
regulated production environments .
Experience with
automation systems ,
VFDs , or
industrial controls .
Working knowledge of
Lean Manufacturing ,
5S , or
TPM
principles.
Understanding of
OSHA ,
EPA , and other safety compliance standards.
