Summary
The Senior IT Project Manager is a strategic leader within the IT PMO, responsible for driving complex technology projects and establishing gold-standard delivery practices. This role ensures excellence in project execution, demand management, resource planning, and reporting, while fostering trusted partnerships across the organization.
Responsibilities
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
Communicate complex information effectively to influence senior leadership.
Proactively identify and solve problems, develop recommendations, and adapt project approaches.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
Establish and maintain stakeholder alignment across IT and business units.
Conduct postmortems and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Champion PMO standards and mentor junior team members.
Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive data.
Qualifications Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance).
PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP certifications preferred.
Experience
10+ years in IT project management, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.
Proven success in end-to end project execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management.
Experience with vendor negotiation and contract management.
Technical Knowledge
IT systems architecture, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development.
Familiarity with legal cloud solutions and hybrid IT environments.
Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks.
