About the Opportunity
Our agency is partnering with a respected litigation firm in Edwardsville to identify a skilled
Legal Assistant
who thrives in a dynamic legal environment. This hybrid role offers the perfect blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, ideal for candidates seeking stability and growth in the legal field.
Responsibilities
Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including drafting and proofreading legal documents (pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery).
Manage electronic filing with Illinois state and federal courts.
Maintain organized case files and document management systems.
Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and manage deadlines.
Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.
Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and trial binders.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a litigation support role.
Strong knowledge of Illinois court procedures and e-filing platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate.
Experience supporting multiple attorneys or working in a high-volume litigation practice.
Additional Information Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
