Job Description General Functions Performs advanced accounting and administrative duties, maintaining accurate fiscal records and reports with initiative and independent judgment. Work is performed with limited supervision and reviewed for compliance and results. Representative Duties Prepares and maintains accounts payable and revenue records by fund, grant, project, and account, using an automated accounting system. Audits, verifies, and processes travel reimbursements; receives, audits, and posts revenue; submits to Finance for deposit. Assists in preparing and monitoring division budgets. Prepares budget transfer requests, purchase orders, and maintains billing records; encumbers funds and processes invoices. Coordinates procurement activities, including P-Card orders. Prepares financial reports, analyzes accounts, and maintains accurate records of goods and services. Recommends updates to fiscal procedures and may manage petty cash. Coordinates fiscal and contractual reviews, including audits and compliance checks. Develops and improves fiscal and administrative procedures, monitors their implementation. Coordinates tangible property requirements and special projects as assigned. Analyzes legislation and technical documents related to financial matters for impact assessments. Assists in writing and processing grant applications. Coordinates financial aspects during emergency operations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Public Administration, plus one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and emergency responder training may be required. Preferences Experience with Excel and Adobe Pro preferred.
