Team Leader , you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll serve as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. We’ll help you grow your knowledge and skills as you serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates. Responsibilities
Lead a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. Provide leadership and development of tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives. Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement. Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions. Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns; ensure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts are resolved. Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office work is completed by deadlines with attention to quality standards and priorities. Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates. Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management. Prepare tax returns, as required. Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns. Qualifications
Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry. 2+ years as a Tax Professional. Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; demonstrated ability to supervise or manage people. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns). Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet all IRS and applicable state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated customer-centric mindset; ability to work flexible schedules. High school diploma or equivalent or higher. Why work for us
