Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr. This range is provided by Sam's Club. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. As a part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; develop interpersonal skills for customer service; work in other areas as needed; track goods; maintain in-stock levels; and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive performance of the area; utilize digital tools; manage stock with perpetual inventory techniques; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; assist customers per company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience; model high quality service and products; demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use Open Door Policy; apply these in business processes and practices. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; identifies opportunities for improvement; adapts to change and feedback.
