ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, operate, modify and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as high-speed cameras and ancillary equipment. Experience operating and maintaining Airborne separation cameras, GoPros, OWLSS cameras and updating camera controllers is a plus. Experience working offshore on the GRATV is a plus. Work may occur in laboratory, field, or Flight Line environments. Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine malfunctions, restore operation, evaluate performance and reliability, and recommend changes to circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. GENERAL DUTIES: Receive work assignments; apply basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems using manufacturer manuals or similar documents; plan work sequence, select tools and testing instruments; ensure finished work complies with accepted practices. May assist senior technicians with software adaptations, computer problem solving, and minor repairs without higher-level assistance. May provide guidance and training to lower-level technicians. May perform with limited instructions or supervision. Work may require operating in close proximity to aircraft including cockpit. Planning, placement, configuring and programming multi-camera arrays in preparation for mission support is required. Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Must be a technical or service school graduate in electronics with two years' experience as an Electronics Technician. Other Duties:
Assist in orientation and training of other technicians at this level; perform general housekeeping and other job-related tasks; may handle hazardous material/hazardous waste. Other Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. Work Environment:
May work in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment. Some tasks may require work in outside environments in heat or cold, with exposure to conditions typical of various work locations. May be required to work offshore in all-weather environments. Physical Demands:
Climb, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, pull or carry heavy items. Note:
