Position Summary The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all building systems—including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical—are operating efficiently and safely. This role includes managing maintenance staff, coordinating preventative maintenance schedules, and leading facility improvement projects. Candidate must be available 24/7 on call, weekdays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff and outside contractors.
Oversee maintenance of all building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
Manage and track maintenance budgets and expenditures.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
Lead facility improvement and renovation projects from planning through execution.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
Collaborate with other departments to support resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
5–10 years of progressive experience in facilities or maintenance management.
Strong hands‑on experience with electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and project management.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in maintenance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
