About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our Welding Automation Business across the EMEA region. This role will focus on expanding Dobot’s footprint in robotic welding applications by developing key markets, engaging strategic partners, and executing go-to-market strategies that drive sales growth and market share. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding of robotic welding systems with strong business development acumen. This position involves up to 50% travel across the EMEA region. Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Sales Growth Develop and execute the EMEA business strategy for robotic welding applications. Identify and engage new customers, integrators, and distributors specializing in welding automation. Build and maintain a robust sales funnel; achieve quarterly and annual sales targets. Drive market penetration in focus industries such as automotive, fabrication, machinery, and metal processing. Conduct competitor analysis and identify emerging opportunities or trends in robotic welding. Technical & Solution Development Collaborate with technical and product teams to design application-based welding solutions (hardware, software, jigs, and fixtures). Deliver product demonstrations, trials, and proof-of-concepts (PoC) with integrators or end users. Provide technical clarifications and support during project scoping, tendering, and negotiation. Develop reference cases, application notes, and technical marketing materials in collaboration with product and marketing teams. Recruit and certify welding-focused system integrators and distributors across EMEA. Co-develop sales and marketing strategies with partners, including exhibitions, workshops, and customer visits. Conduct joint business planning and quarterly performance reviews with key partners. Train and motivate partner sales and technical teams to ensure capability alignment. Operational & Compliance Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts. Ensure compliance with export control, safety, and regional procurement regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Service, HQ) to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field; Master’s preferred. 5+ years of experience in robotic welding, automation, or industrial machinery business development. Strong knowledge of MIG/TIG welding processes, welding equipment integration, and cobot applications. Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building long-term customer relationships. Experience working with system integrators, OEMs, and manufacturing clients across EMEA. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional European language(s) a plus. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of operating independently in a cross-cultural environment. Willingness to travel up to 50% across EMEA.
