and help build the world’s most sophisticated supply chain. You will lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross‑functional projects, developing and delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities

Manage the lifecycle of challenging projects, owning project objectives and targets across organizations and geographies.

Participate in firm engineering reviews and provide tangible impact on system architecture and facility processes.

Partner with internal teams and external vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules.

Lead the execution of systems and automated equipment designs, performing installation, throughput, and safety qualifications.

Lead effective meetings, setting objectives and documenting decisions to align internal partner teams and vendors.

Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans to leadership teams.

Articulate system and equipment designs, including layouts, technical specifications, and functional capabilities.

Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.

Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.

Lead process improvement initiatives to increase engineering and cross‑team efficiencies.

Travel 75% of the time domestically, with up to three weeks in a row including weekends.

A Day in the Life You manage multiple projects that vary in scope and complexity. Your day includes coordinating with operations teams and contractors on execution activities, reviewing project progress, schedule, and resources, and resolving barriers. You facilitate planning and implementation meetings with stakeholders, capture detailed notes, and drive ownership of follow‑through.

Additional responsibilities involve approving sorter system functional specifications, tracking sorter configurations, supporting acceptance testing, and performing quality and safety qualifications. You also provide coaching and training to other engineering team members.

About the Team The OE Execution Team delivers automation infrastructure projects related to material handling across North America. We collaborate to ensure our internal customers have the capabilities to deliver on the Customer Promise and continuously improve our systems.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.

4+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with material handling equipment and automated material handling systems.

Knowledge of packaging technologies and storage solutions.

Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL.

Experience managing cross‑functional projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with and managing third‑party vendors.

Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.

Master’s degree in engineering, management, or technology.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project.

Experience in a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

Experience designing or implementing integrated automation solutions such as material handling systems or high‑speed packaging lines.

Experience in technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or programs.
