Business Administration and Management Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)
Virginia Western Community College is accepting applications for part-time Business Administration and Management Adjunct Faculty in the School of Business, Technology, and Trades (BTT). Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Business Administration and Management adjunct faculty are needed to teach college-level courses in-person on the main Virginia Western campus, as well as distance learning/online courses. Courses include, but are not limited to, Intro to Business, Principles of Management, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Financial Management, and Applied Management Principles. Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education. In addition, faculty are expected to be active participants in departmental communication. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management. Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in business administration or management. 2 years of related occupational experience in business-related positions. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to write syllabi and exams; develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments. Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds. Additional Considerations: Teaching experience at the college level, preferably at the community college level. Experience using technology in the classroom. Applications will be received and considered on a continuous basis. Review of applications will occur when an adjunct faculty need arises and will continue until needed positions are filled.
