Main Duties & Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY:
Performs assigned duties that support Production and Logistics which could include pulling, counting, and packing Finished Goods, Components, and/or Raw Materials and moving them manually and/or by mobile equipment to designated areas in the facility or onto trucks.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
With limited oversight, perform accurately and effectively all the duties of a Materials Specialist I.
Perform multiple duties within assigned functional area which could include, but not limited to:
Shipping: Setting up and running manual and high-speed packaging machines, retrieving and stocking of the Modula unit, etc.
Stores: Work order pulls, putaways and re-stocks, pick ups, deliveries, etc.
Receiving: PO receipts, OP processing, etc.
Raw Materials: PO receiving, issuing, sampling, etc.
Interpret schedules and determine replenishments for material, components, and/or supplies.
Operate mobile equipment safely and in accordance to applicable procedures and instructions.
Read and interpret part drawings, work instructions, process control procedures, pick lists, and/or customer order instructions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Other Competencies:
Language Skills:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Able to communicate effectively within and outside of the department.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, pick lists, and inventory reports.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and Manufacturing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Forklift / Mobile Equipment Certification
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 year of related experience and/or training.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Compensation In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $23.55- $25.48.
Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
