Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (e.g., taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow sanitation guidelines; adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive the area's performance; utilize digital tools; stock and rotate department products using perpetual inventory management techniques; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; assist customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the produce area and modeling high quality service and products; execute basics at the highest possible level of quality; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; apply these in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and information; address opportunities for improvement and adapt to change and feedback.
