Client Overview A busy law firm in New York City is seeking a professional and dependable Office Manager/Receptionist to oversee daily office operations and front desk responsibilities. The candidate should be organized, polished, and proactive, thriving in a professional setting and able to handle multiple administrative priorities with ease. The role plays a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations and providing exceptional support to staff and clients.

Position Overview The Office Manager/Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while ensuring the office runs efficiently and professionally. This role requires previous reception experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to multitask in a fast‑paced legal environment. Detail‑oriented, client‑focused, and able to manage both administrative and front desk functions seamlessly.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist clients, visitors, and vendors professionally and courteously.
Answer and route phone calls and emails to the appropriate team members.
Manage conference room scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting logistics.
Oversee office supply orders, vendor communication, and general office maintenance.
Support attorneys and staff with filing, document preparation, and administrative projects.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and confidential correspondence.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and office area.
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum 1–2 years of Office Manager/Receptionist experience in a law firm or corporate environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Professional demeanor, polished presentation, and client‑service mindset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Dependable, punctual, and adaptable team player.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Previous experience supporting legal teams or attorneys.
Familiarity with document management or legal correspondence.
Education Requirements
High school diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
